Classic Barrel Design in Canadian Cedar

The Tranquility is built from premium Canadian cedar, prized in saunas for its natural resistance to rot and moisture and the clean aroma it releases when heated. The staved barrel walls are drawn tight with steel bands, shedding rain and holding heat efficiently so the sauna reaches temperature fast and stays there. Sturdy cradle feet keep it stable on any level surface.

Roomy Two-Bench Interior

The barrel measures about 118" in diameter and 86-1/4" overall wide, opening to an 83" interior. Two 94-3/4"-long benches about 19" deep run down each side at heights of 19" and 16-1/4", so up to six bathers can sit facing one another with plenty of legroom. A glass door and window keep the round cabin feeling open and full of light.

Electric or Wood-Fired Heating

The Tranquility accepts either an electric or a wood-fired sauna heater, sized to the cabin and purchased separately; a 7.5 KW electric heater is recommended. Choose electric for push-button convenience or wood for the crackle and off-grid independence of a traditional Finnish sauna.
