Installation and Durability
Installation follows the same process as any replacement air handler - a qualified technician will complete the electrical, refrigerant, thermostat, and communication connections, along with the return and supply ductwork. This unit is designed for vertical wall mounting in an up-flow-only configuration. It can be controlled by any 24V thermostat with two stages of heating, though the ACiQ thermostat is recommended, and an optional electric heater coil can be added for backup heat on the coldest days. The intelligent control board displays fault codes to simplify troubleshooting and maintenance. Note: to operate as a heat pump, this air handler must be paired with a compatible condenser and related installation components, which are sold separately.
