Installation and Durability

Installing the ACiQ Wall Mounted Ducted Air Handler is similar to installing any replacement air handler. A qualified technician will handle the electrical, refrigerant, thermostat, and communication connections, along with tying into the return and supply ductwork. This unit is designed for vertical wall mounting in an up-flow-only configuration. It can be controlled by any 24V thermostat with two stages of heating, though the ACiQ-supplied thermostat is recommended. Optional electric strip heat can be added for backup on the coldest days, and the intelligent control board displays fault codes to simplify maintenance. Note: to operate as a heat pump, this air handler must be paired with a compatible condenser and other installation equipment, sold separately; to use straight electric heat, an electric heater coil is also required and available separately.
