Installation and Durability
Installation follows the same process as any standard replacement air handler — a qualified technician handles the electrical, refrigerant, thermostat, and communication connections, along with tying into the return and supply ductwork. This unit is engineered specifically for vertical wall mounting in an upflow-only configuration, and it works with any 24V thermostat offering two stages of heating (the included ACiQ thermostat is recommended). The insulated, galvanized-steel cabinet is built for long-term durability, and the onboard intelligent control board displays diagnostic fault codes to simplify maintenance. Note that a matching condenser is required for heat pump operation, and an optional electric heater coil (available separately) is needed for supplemental electric heat.
